A continental breakfast with homemade jam will provide a great start for an exciting day.

During breakfast the elephants will appear in the garden of JUMBO GUESTHOUSE and you will get the chance to feed them some bananas, their favourite fruits. After the snack you will mount the elephants at the garden of JUMBO GUESTHOUSE and head for a day trek through the jungle, crossing several meandering little streams.

Around lunchtime you will arrive to a little waterfall where the Mahouts (Elephanr keepers) serve you local cusine for lunch. After lunch you can make a little nap. Just listen to the sound if the forest.

My aim is that not more than 2 elephants (4 persons) make this day trek. The scenery gleam the silence of this country and you get in touch with the Lao spirit – a unique experience four your soul.

In the afternoon you will return to JUMBO GUESTHOUSE. There, you can take some time to relax on the veranda or walk around Hongsa. If you feel energetic enough you can climb a hill to Lak Muang Stupa. It is also a viewing point over the Nam Khen valley, promising breathtaking sunsets.
